Tasmania is a green island. When I was there, also a cool and wet one. It did not remind me to Bavaria, as some people say, but this may be due to the fact I spent my time in the coastal areas. Looking at the globe one may think the island is not incredibly big. But what is big on the globe? And on the other hand side the roads are not really straigt. What looks like 10 km on the map may turn out to be 17 km in real bended street life.

Where ever I looked, I enjoyed the sight. Nothing was sensational, but everything nice. A good place for a life without much hustle - and if you want, without much civilisation, too.
