If worst came to worst, we may have to escape in the middle of the night. From the helicopter there was a hell of smoke around so one nearly couldn't see it from above. But at least it gave an idea of what was approaching.
In the evening we could see it shining over the gorge and with each picture I made I had better light. So I made sure I could leave the room within 5 minutes if necessary, and went to sleep. I slept 'til breakfast.
