One may not believe it, but Australia is home of a camel population of millions. Imported for transportation through the outback they were released when not needed anymore. The civilization forgot about them so they spread all over the outback not causing real harm.
Today they get used again, not only for tourism, also for the meat industry and export to Arab countries.
