Sulphur-crested Cockatoo

Cockatoo eating Pandanus
This Cockatoo lives somewhere next Gunlom falls, but it seemed to be a bit frustrated with it's lack of fame. When we arrived there, it made a hell of a racket until it had everybody's attention. Then it went absolutely calm and took a Pandanus fruit for lunch without taking a single look at us.
In fact with a bit of patience one can photograph whole flocks of them in Katherine Gorge, but I wasn't that lucky - I sat in the boat and went past - so I only saw them from far there.
