Surprising to me, there are many mistles in Australia. And I vaguely remember somebody told me there was the only existing mistle tree somewhere there. I watched out for it, but couldn't find it.Anyway I arranged to photograph a beautiful male Mistletoebird in Standley Chasm. It's a pity the picture isn't very good for computer screen display, it's rather for slide projection or (theoretically) high-quality print. But for you guys I cut the birdie out so you can at least enjoy his beautiful plumage. |
