In late October they simply sat everywhere as it was the beginning of their nesting season. When observing them one felt a bit sorry for the male ones. After having a hard job sometimes bringing nesting materials the female simply rejects it. But she really hasn't much reason to claim high standards - the nest she makes is a quite messy one. On the other hand side: many terns don't make a nest at all.
Apart from the Common Noddys there are also White-Capped Noddys on Lady Elliot.
